Ceramcor Xtrema Ceramic Cookware Giveaway

We all know that eating organic, whole, unprocessed foods is the basis for good health.  But do you know what you are introducing into your foods when you cook them?  Most metal cookware contains heavy metals that leach into your food (think lead, aluminum, copper, etc.).  The easy, non-stick cookware?  They're filled with hazardous chemicals that you will end up ingesting.  Even many of the so-called “healthy” ceramic cookware have metal bottoms or plastic or other coatings on top, all of which will leach into your food.
I have been very concerned about my cookware for a long time.  I’ve felt good about using my cast-iron wok and pans and stainless steel pots.  However, I've since learned that both can leach heavy metals into my family’s food.  I painstakingly avoid aluminum and other heavy metals and chemicals in my body care, why would I allow them in my cookware?
A few weeks ago, Ceramcor reached out to me, and offered to send me their Xtrema brand 10” Skillet with Cover and 2.5Qt to try.  I was excited, as I had heard about them before (they actually manufacture Dr. Mercola’s successful cookware line).
I love the sleek look of the cookware, and the red silicone handle makes it so easy to handle to cookware safely.  It is very sturdy, and does not scratch.  The bottom of the cookware is shaped in a way that allows the food to be heated evenly and quickly, which is important because less heating time means less nutrient destruction.  I love that it can go in the oven, stove, toaster oven, microwave (which I don’t use), refrigerator, and freezer.  And it’s so pretty, that it can go right on the dining room table.  The best part is that Xtrema is 100% ceramic, and heavy metal/chemical-free.  You can read more HERE.
Save 10%!
Green Tidings has decided to become an affiliate of Ceramcor, which we rarely do, because we really like the 100% ceramic, all natural, eco-friendly cookware and how much the company cares about making a safe and effective product.  Visit THIS link, where you can find the coupon code to take 10% off your entire order, just for being a Green Tidings reader!
GIVEAWAY!  UPDATE:  GIVEAWAY HAS ENDED!

Congratulations, David Sullivan!
Ceramcor has been generous enough to offer a FREE 3 Piece 10” Skillet Set, worth $134.99, to one lucky Green Tidings reader!  To enter the giveaway, just comment on this blog post and tell us why you want to try Xtrema ceramic cookware (make sure to include your name).  The winner will be selected via random number generator on Thursday, September 26, 2013.  Offer open to US residents, only.  GOOD LUCK!

I would love to win the Ceramcor Xtrema Ceramic Cookware because I feel feeding my family healthy foods using healthy means is extremely important. We are training our children in the way they should go from birth. That includes not only a good strong biblical foundation but also how to properly nourish and care for their bodies (temples). Thank you Green Tidings for this opportunity! We love your website :)

I'd love to own some xtrema ceramic cookware. I currently eat and feed a vegan diet at home for my autistic daughter. She's made vast improvements on an organic, unprocessed diet. However, we're currently using all-clad cookware (stainless steel). Switching to xtrema would be one extra step in keeping my daughter's precious system clean. ~~Jacquelyne Cullen

A few years ago, when I met my husband, I was thrown into the world of healthy, organic, whole food eating. He was doing the Gerson therapy to heal himself of heavy metals poisoning and I wanted to help and support however I could. Since then, our little family has grown and we've completely changed our lifestyle. I only use glass, stainless steel or cast-iron to cook with and after learning that the last two options leach into our food, I've been looking for alternatives, specially given my husband's heavy metals sensitivities. This would be great to have in our kitchen!
Thank you, Cindy "Allis" Avalos

Shari P. said...

Shari P. I have thyroid issues and chronic fatigue for years as well as hormone issues I'm trying to get straightened out. I've been searching as you have for years for a healthier way to prepare my foods. I've stopped using all my pfoa and toxic cookware. I did get some that doesn't have pfoa and is the greener type on stainless steel. However, I've never really felt comfortable with it. Years ago I had some ceramic coated type, but that eventually got scratched and couldn't use it anymore since the metal was leaching through. To find that there exists now an entire ceramic cookware, I'm elated! I would love to win this. An answer to my prayers. Thank you for offering this opportunity to win this as well as get a discount on purchases. Please enter me, Please! Thank you!

Currently, my last two remaining pots happen to be Teflon non stick. This past last week they have started producing a very strong chemical smell that is irritating to my nose and probably dangerous to my family. I am now down to one pot, an enamel cast iron pot. It would be such a blessing to own an Xtrema Ceramic Skillet set now that we are eating a more natural whole food diet. It makes sense to cook with a more natural cookware if your going to work so hard to eat healthier. As a family of four and being a SAHM, owning one of these lovely ceramic skillets would be a dream!

Wow! What a treat this would be. I've been working to improve my health for years now but have a very LIMITED budget and never had the room to purchase any of these pieces. The xtrema cookware would make it more enjoyable and healthy too! Thanks for doing this! Maryam Reimer

As my boyfriend pointed out the other day..."your pots and pans look like the came from the 70's"...he's right. I've been using the same hand-me-downs my mom gave me when I moved away to college almost 14 years ago. Most of the items she gave me where wedding gifts she received in 1975. I keep telling myself I need to replace them but never put that at the top of the list. I think it's time.

The last several years have been a health nightmare, which I am starting to recover from. This cookware is essential but my low SSA/SSI income (under $800 mo) will not allow me to purchase. I had Dr. Mercola's newsletter for a couple of years and sent the cookware info to everyone I know but zip, nada, nothing. I truly hope I can win (?) this set, it would mean so much. There is no price for peace of mind, just the tangible things, like safe cookware. Thank you for this opportunity.
